Company to Discuss Advances in Program for Development of Therapeutic Products for Cessation of Smokeless Tobacco Use and Addiction -- A Market Estimated to Exceed $2 Billion in the U.S.

LAS VEGAS, NV -- (Marketwired) -- 10/28/16 -- CV Sciences, Inc. (OTCBB: CVSI) (the "Company") today announced that it will hold a webcast on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 5:00PM Eastern Standard Time to discuss its drug development program and specifically its drug candidate utilizing synthetically-formulated CBD for use in treatment of smokeless tobacco addiction. According to Statista, there were approximately $5.3 billion in retail sales of smokeless tobacco products in 2014, and approximately 1.3 billion units of smokeless tobacco products sold during that time. The webcast will discuss the Company's initial drug candidate (CVSI-007), which is a chewing gum that combines synthetic CBD and nicotine.

The Company will provide details on webcast access by press release on Thursday, November 3, 2016.
